Los Mexicanos Restaurante
About This Spot
Stepping into Los Mexicanos Restaurante in Oxford feels like finding a warm, familiar corner of a vibrant Mexican neighborhood. The pace here is relaxed but lively—a spot where friends and families gather easily, conversations flow over shared plates, and the hum of genuine enjoyment fills the air. It’s that comfortable middle ground between a bustling evening meal and an inviting casual hangout, where the atmosphere is as much a part of the experience as the food.
The welcoming vibe draws you to sink into a booth or grab a seat near the window, watching as the day transitions into night. Here, the kitchen sends out dishes that are seasoned with care and meant to be savored slowly—lime margaritas that balance crisp freshness with just the right kick, and plates piled high with colorful, comforting Mexican favorites. Whether it’s the sizzle of chicken fajitas arriving at your table, the steady stream of tortilla chips paired with rich cheese dip, or the bright tang of pico de gallo adding life to every bite, each element feels thoughtfully crafted to invite ease and connection.
The true charm of Los Mexicanos lies in its blending of flavors and atmosphere—a place where staff members recognize you by name, glasses are refilled without prompt, and the steady rhythm of conversations hints at shared stories and new friendships. It’s not about flashiness or formality, but about the quietly comforting rituals of enjoying familiar food in good company.
For locals and visitors alike, this restaurant isn’t just a meal; it’s a space where simple moments—whether an early dinner to beat the rush or a leisurely night out—are made better by the honest, heartfelt approach that Los Mexicanos embraces. It’s a reminder that discovery doesn’t always mean grand gestures sometimes, it’s about the little human moments and the joy tucked in every bite and sip.

We came in for an early dinner on, 2/18/25, around 4pm. It was nice that we were able to beat the dinner crowd and get our orders quickly. Everything was seasoned perfectly. I'm not sure what other reviewers are whining about. The steak in my burrito was excellent, and my wife loved her dinner. Our server was quick to refill our drinks, too. The atmosphere is great as well. This was our first visit here, and we'll definitely be coming back soon.

Love this place. The cheese dip is phenomenal and the chips are never ending. The margaritas are strong and the employees are polite. The atmosphere is beautiful. 10/10 favorite restaurant in town.

Pretty good! Quick service, food came out super speedy. Cheese dip good. Salsa meh, not great. Taco salad was not exactly the norm. It was served on a flat fried tortilla. Like one of the small ones; I wouldn’t haven even known it was under there if the server hadn’t told me. Would have liked to have the big crusty tortilla bowl but hey, it tasted really good nonetheless. Fajitas were also very good. Flan and sopapillas were, you guessed it….good. Lol. Solid experience!
